BATH
- Two new galleries
have opened here, both featuring the work of single artists.
In both cases, the artists have hung their work in their homes
and have opened their doors to the public.
Sarah
Greenier Gallery
Sarah Greenier Gallery is located at 428 Middle
St., in Bath's south end. Greenier was a watercolorist exclusively
until about 10 years ago, when she switched to oils.
Her gallery will be celebrating
its grand opening on June 25, from 3 - 6 p.m.
Greenier has shown in other galleries,
but got to the point where she was exhibiting in mostly outdoor
art shows.
"I was ready for a break
from that, she said. "I needed more time to work on my art.
This gallery is the best of both worlds - gallery and studio."
Greenier's favorite subjects are
Maine's marine and coastal subjects.
"I love painting lobster
boats, schooners, and Monhegan Island scenes," she said.
The public is invited to her Grand
Opening and reception for her new show, "Maine Reflections",
next Sunday from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Greenier's gallery is open from
10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
